An elderly couple riding a moped were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit their two wheeler nearthe weekly shandy at Perundur, police said.
The couple were on their way to the town to purchase some vegetables when some vehicle knocked them down.
The man died on the spot while his wife died on the way to hospital, they said.
