Thanjavur: DMDK leader Vijayakant today alleged that Tamil Nadu government has not provided adequate flood relief for the affected farmers of the delta districts.
He was participating at a demonstration held here to condemn the Tamil Nadu government for not providing enough relief for the farmers of Thanjavur, Tiuruvarur and Nagapattinam and other districts in the state, who had been affected badly by the floods caused by the reason rains.
He blamed the Tamil Nadu government for not desilting the water bodies in the state, leading to the water draining wastefully into the sea.
