IIT Madras had signed the letter of intent with German-based Fraunhofer Gesellschaft

Indian Institute of Technology Madras, has proposed to set up a Centre for Advanced Automotive Research in collaboration with German-based Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
IIT Madras had signed the letter of intent with Fraunhofer Institute IWU Germany for its proposal to set up the Applied Centre for Advanced Automotive Research, a press release said.
"This is a partnership where we are engaging with Fraunhofer, Germany. We want the Centre to be a delivery centre that delivers R&D solutions of excellent level and in a timely fashion", IIT Madras, Dean (ICSR), professor Krishnan Balasubramanian said.
"We are excited about this coolaboration and look forward to expanding our already extensive engagement with India", IWU Frauhofer, Executive Director, Dr Ing Dirk Landgrebe said.
