Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today condoled the death of four persons who lost their lives when a wall of an old building collapsed in Srirangam, Tiruchirappali district recently.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. I have ordered release of Rs one lakh be given to the victims' families from Chief Minister's Relief Fund", she said in a statement.
She also announced that a sum of Rs 50,000 each, be released to those injured.
Four workers were killed and 11 others injured when a wall of an old house under renovation collapsed in Srirangam on December 23.
