Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday dropped Minister for Milk and Dairy Development SP Shanmuganathan from her cabinet. The recommendation was accepted by Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah.
Ms Jayalalithaa also inducted K Pandiarajan into her cabinet as Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, a post that was earlier help by P Benjamin.
Mr Pandiarajan was elected to the assembly from the DMDK during the last term but later switched loyalty to Ms Jayalalithaa's AIADMK. He joined the AIADMK just before elections and won from the Avadi constituency. He's also one of the spokespersons of the party.
P Benjamin will now hold Rural Industries portfolio and KT Rajenthra Bhalaji the Dairy Development department.
