Chennai: A four-year-old female leopard that had strayed into former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's estate near Ooty has been caught alive by forest authorities.
The animal had been in the area for a few days.
The locals complained about the unwelcome visitor after it killed a few cattle in the area.
The forest officials then placed cameras and cages around Ms Jayalalithaa's bungalow at the Kodanadu estate on the Nilgiris.
The leopard was later released in the upper Bhavani forest area.
