A woman inspector in Tamil Nadu narrowly escaped death with two members of a liquor-smuggling gang allegedly trying to run her over with their car for stopping them, police said.
The two gang members were caught as their car hit another and stopped after a failed attempt to kill the cop.
A total of 108 liquor bottles were seized from the vehicle and its occupants were arrested, they said.
