The DMK treasurer M K Stalin alleged that the ruling AIADMK had not delivered on many of its promises, especially those made in the state Assembly.

DMK Treasurer M K Stalin today launched his party's campaign in R K Nagar constituency in the city from where AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is seeking a successive term.
"Today, we have launched a door-to-door campaign against the AIADMK, distributing pamphlets detailing issues like soaring prices and deteriorating law and order situation," Mr Stalin told reporters.
The DMK treasurer alleged that the ruling AIADMK had not delivered on many of its promises, especially those made in the state Assembly.
He also referred to the AIADMK government decision of hiking milk price and power tariff during its five year tenure starting 2011.
This kind of campaign will be expanded to other parts of the state also, he added.
Jayalalithaa, 68, represents the R K Nagar constituency in the outgoing 14th Assembly, after she contested from the city segment, post her acquittal by Karnataka High Court in the disproportionate assets case.
