Chennai: The low pressure over Bay of Bengal will bring rains to Tamil Nadu and Puduchery tomorrow, the Regional Meteorological Center today said, warning of 'heavy to very heavy rains' for the two days.
Due to the low pressure over southwest Bay of Bengal rains could be expected at some places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, the weather office said.
There was a possibility of rains in most places in the state and the neighbouring union territory for the next two days with the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rains in some places, it said.
Vedaranyam (Nagapattinam) and Adiramapatinam (Tanjavur) received 3 cm and 2 cm of rainfall, respectively.
Meanwhile, the inter-ministerial Central team which is touring the state to assess the damage caused by rains and flood will submit its report to the Centre within a week, TVSN Prasad, Joint Secretary in the Union Home Ministry, who is leading the team, said.
