Ravanan, an arrested relative of Sasikala, estranged aide of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, was today taken to Chennai for interrogation in connection a cheating case, police said.
Ravanan, lodged in the Central Prison here since his arrest on January 27, was remanded to the custody of a team of Chennai police by a court here after it produced a transit warrant.
He was arrested on charges of abduction for ransom, extortion and criminal conspiracy.
Ravanan has been named as an accused in a Rs one crore cheating case by a Tirupur-based industrialist, who has filed a petition in a Chennai court, police said.
