Coimbatore: DMK working president MK Stalin said that he is ready to face any sedition charge slapped on him by the government, as registered against sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran.

Speaking to reporters at Coonoor in Nilgiris district,he said there was every possibility of such a case being filed against him and he was ready to face it as he had also criticised the functioning of the Government.

TTV Dhinakaran was booked on Monday along with 10 of his supporters in connection with distribution of pamphlets, allegedly containing defamatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami at Salem.

They were booked for various offences under IPC, including sedition, unlawful assembly and defamation.

MK Stalin alleged that the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues were 'working overtime' to remain in power, instead of taking steps to tackle various problems like dengue.

On the Taj Mahal being removed from the list of tourist destinations by the Uttar Pradesh government, Mr Stalin said it was condemnable and only confirmed that the Centre was playing 'communal politics'.

Taj Mahal was dropped from the list of tourist destinations in the new booklet published by the government of Uttar Pradesh.
