Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu government has ordered the Forest Department to pay Rs three lakh to the family of a villager, whowas killed by an elephant in Bolampatti forest division in the district.
One Bhairavan of Thanikandi village was trampled to death by the elephant, when he was returning home.
Expressing grief over the death to the family of the bereaved, Jayalalithaa asked the Forest Department to pay the solatium immediately, an official release said.
