Dr J S Sathyanarayana Murthy, aneminent interventional cardiologist, has been appointed thenew Vice Chancellor of Sri Ramachandra University (SRU).
He succeeds Dr S Rangaswami, an eminent OrthopaedicSurgeon, who completed his five year tenure, the Universitysaid in a press release.
Presently Professor and Head of the Department ofCardiology, SRU, Murthy has over three decades of teaching andclinical experience.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and theRoyal College of Physicians (Glasgow), Murthy has received DrK S Sanjeevi Award and Life Time Achievement Award of TamilNadu Dr MGR Medical Univesity.
