Ramanathapuram:
Security has been provided to a widow after she expressed fear that her in-laws wouldbury her along with her husband who died in a road accident, police said.
Police said the woman started screaming on seeing her in-laws from Andhra Pradesh at the government hospitalwhere her husband Bheem Singh succumbed to his injuries in the accident.
She claimed that she would be buried if she was sent with them and the last rites would be performed for her also afterseven days as per the practice of their clan, police said.
Bheem Singh and 14 others, including his wife, Veerapathi, and three children, were injured when their van collided witha Government bus at Chatirakudi.
Singh's parents, who had come from Andhra Pradesh to collect his body, had insisted that his wife and threechildren be sent with them, but the woman protested.
Police provided security and asked the parents to leave immediately with the body.
Police had informed Veerapathi's father and he would reach from Maharashtra.
