New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday restrained Tamil Nadu police from arresting expelled AIADMK's Rajya Sabha member Sasikala Pushpa on an alleged sexual harassment complaint.
While restraining the state police from arresting her for six weeks, the bench of Chief Justice TS Thakur, Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice DY Chandrachud asked the Madurai bench of Madras High Court to decide on her plea for anticipatory bail.
Two of Pushpa's former maids had accused her husband and son of alleged sexual harassment. They had complained that Pushpa knew about the incident but did not intervene.
