Chennai: The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), contesting all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu in the May 16 elections, today released its first list of candidates for 45 seats.
Senior leader and former legislator K Arumugam (Chengalpattu) is among the 45 candidates announced in a statement in Chennai by the party for Assembly segments in various districts, including Chennai, Pudukottai, Vellore, Kancheepuram, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli.
PMK, which is facing the polls on its own from all 234 seats, said the candidates for the rest of the constituencies would be announced in the next few days.
PMK has announced its youth wing leader and Dharmapuri lawmaker Anbumani Ramadoss as its chief ministerial candidate.
