Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa condoled the demise of the victims of rains and flood and granted the compensation from the Disaster Relief Fund.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today granted a compensation of Rs four lakh each to the family of 23 people killed in rain-related incidents in the state.
All the victims were killed in the first week of this month in Kanchipuram district.
She condoled the demise of the victims of rains and flood and granted the compensation from the Disaster Relief Fund, an official release in Chennai said.
Drowning, wall-collapse and electrocution were the major reasons listed for the deaths of 23 people.
Also, she granted a compensation of Rs four lakh to the relatives of a Chennai Corporation sanitary worker, who died of heart attack while on work in a flood-hit area in Chennai yesterday.
