Puducherry: Three persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 55-year-old French woman of Puducherry origin near here, police said today.
The body of Allene Amudha alias Jayamani was found at her residence with her throat slit on February 8.
She was staying alone as her children and relatives were in France, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police V J Chandran told reporters that she had returned from France some days ago.
Gold jewels weighing 75 sovereigns and 450 grams of silverware besides some euro currencies and Rs 5400 in cash, allegedly stolen from the house, were recovered from the three persons who were arrested yesterday, he said.
