32 New Swine Flu Cases in Telangana

61 people have died due to swine flu in Telangana so far this year, while over 1,700 have tested positive for the H1N1 virus.

"This year from January 1 till March 6, 5,419 samples have been tested, of which 1,731 were found positive. The number of deaths due of swine flu and other complications as on date is 61," a bulletin on swine flu issued by state government said in Hyderabad today.

It said 53 samples were sent for testing yesterday, out of which 32 tested positive.

"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (from March 1-6) is 56, 63, 26, 42, 51 and 32," it said.

Meanwhile, the government has advised citizens to take precaution.

Sufficient stock of medicines is available at all district and area hospitals in the state and ample testing
kits are also available, it added.

Homeopathy doctors have advised that people can also take homeopathy medicine as a preventive measure under guidance of a homeopathy medico.
