Karimnagar, Telangana:
Every household in Telangana will get drinking water supply connection in the next three years, a state Minister said today.
Telangana Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said this at Agraharam village in Sircilla mandal after laying foundation for Drinking water supply project.
"Telangana government has taken up drinking water supply project as one of the prestigious ones. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 35,000 crore, while the estimated distance of the grid is 154 kilometres in Telangana state which includes 17 intake wells, 65 purifying centres and 19000 tanks."
Earlier, Mr Rao inaugurated integrated service centre at Chinna Bonala village in Sircilla assembly constituency.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Rama Rao told that out of 8,770 villages in Telangana state, centres were inaugurated in 104 villages today.
Remaining centres will be started soon, he said.
The villagers can get birth, death, caste and other certificates in the centres, he added.
