PM Narendra Modi Wishes Telangana On Second Formation Day

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wished the people of Telangana on their second statehood anniversary.

Two years ago, on June 2, 2014, the state of Telangana came into existence after bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi tweeted:

On the Statehood Day of Telangana, my greetings to the people of Telangana. I hope the state progresses to new heights in the years to come.

The state's Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao unfurled 290 feet high national flag on Telangana Foundation Day, reported news agency ANI.
 
Telangana became the 29th state of the country after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act was passed in the Parliament.
