Hyderabad: Officials said enough stocks of medicines have been made available at all teaching, district and area hospitals.
They advised people to take all precautions such as reporting to the hospital on the first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain.
Two more people died of swine flu in Telangana since yeterday, taking the toll to 36. Government-run Gandhi Hospital, which is the state nodal centre for swine flu, reported two more deaths. The dead include an eight-month-old child.
According to the health department, 71 samples were tested for H1N1 virus yesterday and out of them 18 were found positive.
The authorities screened 2,047 samples since January 1 and out of them 686 were found positive. The health department, however, claimed that due to a rise in temperature, the number of swine flu cases is declining.
