Karimnagar: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada town near Karimnagar.
Mr Rao, along with his family, arrived in the temple town by road this morning and offered prayers at the temple.
Priests had advised the chief minister to offer worship at the temple, after 'Ayuth Chandi Maha Yagam', conducted by him at Erravelli village of Medak district, ended yesterday.
Karimnagar district Collector Neethu Prasad oversaw preparations for Mr Rao's visit.
Karimnagar Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) L Subbarayadu had made elaborate security arrangements for the visit.
