warangal, telangana: A 26-year-old woman allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her home in Telangana while her five-year-old son, too, was found hanging next to hers, police said today. The incident reportedly took place last night, but the police was informed in the morning, said a police officer.
The deceased have been identified as Kotham Radhika and Sai Krishna. Radhika reportedly had frequent fights with her husband, sub-inspector Abhinav of Khanapoor police station said. Even last night they had an argument following which Radhika's husband went to a relative's house to sleep. The couple stayed in Budharaopeta village in Warangal district.
The husband returned home this morning, but his knocks on the door went unanswered. When he broke open the door, he found their bodies hanging from the ceiling fan. He immediately called the police who sent the bodies to Narsampet Government Area Hospital for autopsy. The woman is suspected to have hanged the boy before hanging herself, police said.
The police have registered a case and investigations are on.
