Thiruvananthapuram:
The two-day old strike by autorickshaw and taxi drivers in the state was called off on Thursday night following an assurance from the government that fare revision would be announced by January 12 next.
Strike was withdrawn after talks held by representatives of Driver's Union and State Transport Minister Jose Thettayil.
Justice Ramachandran committee looking into the issue had been asked to submit an interim report to the government soon, Thettayil said.
Strike was in demand for fare revision in view of the recent increase in fuel prices.
