Thiruvananthapuram:
Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Kerala's Development Mentor, will be arriving in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday for a second round of discussions on the 10-point programme of development he had mooted for the state.
He would interact with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, ministers, Planning Board members and senior officials on the progress of drawing up the detailed projects of the suggestions he made three months back, a press note from the Chief Minister's office said.
The proposals include a High Speed Rail Corridor, coastal waterways and setting up of a Knowledge City focusing on quality higher education and research.
The high speed rail corridor linking the entire stretch of the state was estimated to involve a cost of Rs 1.18 lakh crore. The proposed water high way would create facilities for coastal transport linking the inland water transport.
The knowledge city would comprise such institutions like a world class centre for studies in mathematics and research and development in green energy.
Mr Pitroda had visited the state in January and submitted the proposals for the state planners and policy makers to draw up detailed project reports.
