Technopark firm gets nod for research facility

Thiruvananthapuram: Technopark-based MobME Wireless has got approval and recognition from the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, for their in-house Research & Development facility.  MobME had set up an in-house Research and Development facility to continuously innovate and develop state-of-the-art products for the telecommunications industry.

MobME is the first telecom mobile value-added services company to have a full-fledged Research and Development  facility, certified by the Central Department of Government of India.

The company received this certification and recognition based on the scheme announced by the Department of Science and Industrial Research with the objective to promote in-house Research and Development in India within private sector companies.

"Today's scenario demands companies to have innovative DNA inside the company that will lead to innovative Research and Development and eventually innovative products with Indian Institute for Plasma Research. MobME is one of the first telecom value-added service companies who went ahead and created an R&D environment within their organisation and will continue to drive technology innovation with their independent Research and Development facility," said A S Rao, director Innovations at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Independent Director at MobME Wireless.
