Man On Death Row For 2013 Hyderabad Terror Attack Acquitted In Mumbai Case

Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Aijaz Shaikh, who was sentenced to death for the February 2013 Hyderabad terror attack, was on Friday acquitted by a Mumbai court in a 2010 case related to sending an email on behalf of the banned outfit.

Suspected SIMI operative Azharuddin alias Azhar alias Chemical Ali, wanted in connection with the 2013 Bodhgaya and Patna bomb blasts, was arrested by the Chhattisgarh Police from Hyderabad airport after he landed from Saudi Arabia, an officer said on Saturday.

In the first ever conviction of banned Indian Mujahideen cadres in a terror case, a special NIA court in Hyderabad has convicted Mohammed Ahmed Siddibappa alias Yasin Bhatkal and four others for being involved in 2013 twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar which had claimed 18 lives.
