2014 Hottest Climate

Swiss financial services major UBS has said the climate change inflicted a whopping USD 1.5 trillion loss on the middle-class across the globe between 1980 and 2014, and another USD 32 billion in the first six months of 2015 which was the hottest year on record.

The year 2014 was the hottest on record, "consistent" with a changing climate, the UN's weather agency said Monday.

Despite a bitter US cold snap, the globe is rushing hell-bent toward its warmest year on record with last month setting the fifth monthly heat record of the year.
