4 Of Family Killed Tamil Nadu

Four members of a family including two minors were killed when a portion of a roof caved in suddenly, police said here on Monday.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today granted a compensation of Rs four lakh each to the family of 23 people killed in rain-related incidents in the State.

On July 4, the body of a young Dalit boy, Ilavarasan, was found on the tracks in Dharmapuri, northern Tamil Nadu. Initially reported as a suicide, his family and Dalit groups suspected murder by upper caste groups.
