6 Kg Gold Stolen

An investigation has been launched into claims that a bag containing six kg gold has been stolen from an inter-state private bus, police today said.

'Six members of two inter-state gangs were arrested by the police in Hyderabad today after which one kg of stolen gold ornaments and three bikes were seized, a police official said.

At least 17.50 kg of gold and Rs 6.34 lakh in cash was stolen from the office of Manappuram Finance Limited, located in central Pune, police said. The incident took place in Bhavani Peth on Tuesday, police inspector Sandipan Sawant said.
