Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has now allowed residents to update addresses in Aadhaar online with the consent of their head of family, an official statement said today.

Rumours that the central government is providing a loan of Rs 4.78 lakh to all Aadhaar card holders has been fact-checked by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) today.

Aadhaar holders who were issued the unique ID more than 10 years back but have not updated their details since then are being urged to update identification and residence proof documents, UIDAI said.
