Government Scraps Security For 6 Separatists After Pulwama Attack

The government will no longer provide any security to separatists in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said. The order from the state administration, issued three days after the deadly terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama that cost over 40 lives, said all security and vehicles provided to the separatists will be withdrawn by this evening.

A prominent Kashmiri separatist group, Muslim Conference appears to have split right through the middle after its top leader Abdul Ghani Bhat was reported to have quietly met Dineshwar Sharma, the central government's interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir. Hurriyat leaders had earlier decided not to engage with the interlocutor.
