Acid Attack Central Delhi

A rape accused - out of jail on bail - attacked the minor daughter of the complainant with acid and then died by suicide in central Delhi yesterday, the police said.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sent notices to e-commerce players Flipkart and meesho.com for gross violations of norms relating to sale of acid on their platforms.

Two women sustained burn injuries after a man, the husband of one of them threw acid on them in Paharganj. He was suspecting his wife of having an affair, the police said.
