This week, Congress parliamentarian Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary watched his belongings being thrown out of the sprawling government bungalow he had since he became a minister in 2012. Mr Chowdhury ends the week with more embarrassment. "Have some dignity," the Supreme Court told him, dismissing his petition to keep the bungalow.

The government today evicted Congress lawmaker from West Bengal Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from an official bungalow in New Delhi. The government said the action was taken against Mr Chowdhury for "over staying" in the New Moti Bagh house.
