Days after more than 40 girls were shifted by the police from an ashram in north Delhi's Rohini to a shelter home, five more minor girls have been rescued during raids at the same institution's Dwarka ashram. The girls were kept in "prison-like" confinement by the absconding 'baba', the team discovered.

In view of serious allegations raised against spiritual leader Virender Dev Dikshit's Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya in Delhi, the police in Farrukhabad today raided two ashrams run by him at Siktarbad and Kampil and rescued 47 women and a minor girl.

After the police raided an ashram in north Delhi's Rohini and rescued as many as 40 girls, who were kept under illegal confinement, the Delhi High Court today directed the CBI to trace its founder. The chief of the Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya, Virendra Dev Dikshit, has to be present before the bench on January 4.
