Actor Swara Bhaskar on Sunday targeted the central government over awarding the Padma Shri, India's fourth-hightest civillian honour, to Pakistan-origin singer Adnan Sami who became an Indian citizen in 2016.

Lahore-born Adnan Sami had first arrived in India on March 13, 2001 on a visitor's visa with the validity of one year which was issued by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. His last Bollywood track was Bhar Do Jholi, which featured in Salman Khan's 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan
