Citing examples of BJP stalwarts Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani, ally Shiv Sena today said that political careers of leaders who got too close to Pakistan have been on the wane as it criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Lahore.

BJP veteran LK Advani on Saturday backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stopover in Lahore on Friday saying the process, of improving relations between Indian and Pakistan, started by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee should be taken forward.
