Srinagar Fire Victims Living In Plastic Tents Without Food, Heating

Five days after her house at Srinagar's Dalgate was gutted in a devastating fire, Afroza Banoo and her family of five have been forced take shelter in a plastic tent in a nearby graveyard. Afroza and her family is not alone. Nearly 100 families whose houses were burnt in that blaze are also living in these tents in the biting cold.

In a rare case, a woman in Kashmir gave birth to quintuplets -- three boys and two girls -- at a government hospital, officials said.Afroza, a resident of Larkipora village of central Kashmir's Budgam district, gave birth to the five children at the Lal Ded hospital here after a cesarean section.
