The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) today said the Appellate Authority which heard the appeals of the varsity students who were penalised in connection with the controversial February 9 event has submitted its final report.

The Delhi Police, in its investigation into the controversial event at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in February, has found nothing to suggest that channels had doctored the original videos related to the incident, the government said on Thursday.

Four video clippings related to the controversial February 9 event at JNU which were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar for examination have emerged as "genuine".

Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU today formed a four-member committee to look into demands of students who are on hunger strike against punishment in connection with the controversial February 9 event even as three more students withdrew their fast due to deteriorating health condition.

JNU authorities have sent the Afzal Guru event report to the Delhi Police.

Defiant JNU students who have been punished in connection with a controversial event on campus have asserted that they will neither pay the fine, nor vacate hostels as ordered by the university and will go on an indefinite hunger strike from today demanding the withdrawal of orders.

The Left parties today gave a notice in the Rajya Sabha pressing for a discussion over the disciplinary action against Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, the students charged with sedition along with Kanhaiya Kumar, who was suspended for a semester by the Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU on charges of indiscipline.

A PhD scholar at the Jawaharlal University today alleged that the the institute has refused to give her MPhil degree in connection with the controversial event in February during which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.
