Days after the canopy collapse incident at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu on Monday visited the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) to take stock of the operations.

Two Air India aircraft, including a Boeing-787 Dreamliner, were grounded after their engines were hit by an aerobridge and a container, both pushed by strong winds, at the IGI airport in New Delhi.

NIIT Technologies said on Thursday that it has signed a Rs 344 crore multi-year contract with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for implementation of airport operations control centres across 10 cities, in partnership with communication specialist SITA.
