The Aligarh Municipal Corporation has unanimously passed a proposal to change the city's name to Harigarh. The proposal was presented by Mayor Prashant Singhal in a meeting yesterday and was supported by all councillors.

A thali or a complete meal with rice or roti, daal and curry for Rs 10 has been launched at Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The subsidized meal Yogi thali, named after the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, was launched by Allahabad mayor Abhilasha Gupta.

The mayor also said that she had raised the issue earlier and that will be resolved soon.
