Not going to Singapore for leisure: Amar Singh

Rajya Sabha MP and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, who is out on bail in the cash-for-votes-scam, announced in a presser today that he will go to Singapore for treatment on November 16. Last week, a Delhi court had allowed him to go abroad for treatment of his kidney ailment.

Rajya Sabha MP and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Sunday morning. From the hospital, the politician, out on bail in the cash-for-votes-scam, went to his residence in the Capital.

His lawyers have said that a kidney transplant last year puts him at great risk for medical infection, and that he should get bail for health reasons.
