Sudheendra Kulkarni, former BJP advisor, was today remanded to judicial custody by a Delhi court today in connection with the cash-for-votes scam. Mr Kulkarni will now be sent to Tihar Jail.

Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh spent last night at AIIMS, not Tihar Jail. He was rushed to hospital after a health check-up on Monday night determined that his creatinine levels had risen. Today, court will decide whether Mr Singh should be given bail on medical grounds.

A court in Delhi will resume hearing politician Amar Sing's bail plea in connection with the cash for votes-scam today. Mr Singh is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in Delhi. He was arrested on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody till September 19.
