Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, who were reportedly planning an attack on the Amarnath Yatra, were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Srinagar, the police said today.

The Border Security Force today said it has detected a cross-border tunnel along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district and claimed to have foiled the plans of Pakistan-based terrorists to disrupt the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have inputs about terrorists planning to carry out an attack on Amarnath Yatra, an Army officer said on Friday, but asserted that "systems and resources" were in place to ensure that the annual pilgrimage goes on unhindered.
