Mysuru's big Vijayadashami procession - which starts at the Amba Vilas palace and winds its way through the city - was held on Tuesday. Before the procession began, people in their thousands lined the streets of Mysuru in anticipation of the Jamboo Savari or the elephant procession - a tradition that goes back centuries.
