Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Thursday told the state legislative assembly that the bidder selected for the amphibious bus service project has backed out due to the inordinate delay in obtaining the requisite permissions.

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday launched the first amphibious bus of the state at Harike Pattan Lake in Ferozepur.

With an aim to boost tourism in the state, Maharashtra government is all set to start an amphibious bus service, popularly known as duck boats, which will allow people to experience the rich hinterland of Mumbai.
