Television actor Pratyusha Banerjee, known for her role of Anandi in a daily show "Balika Vadhu",died due to asphyxiation and hanging, a preliminary autopsy report said.

Originally from Jamshedpur, the actress shifted to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. Her first big break came with the pouplar TV soap Balika Vadhu in which she played the older version of the character Anandi, a role she performed from 2010 to 2013.
