Andhra Night Curfew

As the COVID-19 positivity rate and the number of daily infections declined, Andhra Pradesh government lifted the night curfew.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday decided to clamp the Covid curfew from 11 PM to 5 AM afresh in view of the spurt in number of cases over the past few days.

Andhra Pradesh today announced a night curfew across the state to cut the transmission chain of the second coronavirus wave sweeping the country.

Communal violence broke out in Sangareddy town of Andhra Pradesh late Thursday night, forcing the police to clamp indefinite curfew in the area. Twenty people were injured and several shops were set afire in the town, about 70 km from Hyderabad
