Telangana To Build New Secretariat Complex By Demolishing Existing One

The Telangana government, which had earlier sought the Bison Polo grounds, a sports facility belonging to the Ministry of Defence, for the construction of a new secretariat complex, has now decided to build it by demolishing the existing one, official sources said on Tuesday.

Incessant rains in the last two days have caused water leaks in portions of the interim secretariat complex in Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati built in a "record" 192 days at a cost of Rs 512 crore. The downpour has left the chambers of at least three ministers soaking as water leaked through the roof.
